On-site (your location or coordinated meet)

Every surface a placed tracker or covert device is most likely to occupy — cabin, exterior, undercarriage, OBD-II. Any device located is removed and handed back. Where nothing is found, that is stated plainly in writing.

A targeted, methodical assessment of a single passenger vehicle.

Scope of work
  • GPS tracker detection (passive & active)
  • OBD-II port inspection (live-data trackers)
  • Audio device & covert listening hardware assessment
  • Cabin & foot-well physical inspection
  • Wheel-well & undercarriage inspection
  • RF spectrum assessment across common tracker bands
  • Removal of any devices located
  • Written summary of findings
// ENGAGEMENT TRIGGERS

Common engagement triggers.

The indicators that most often prompt this assessment. No single signal is conclusive on its own — together, they describe the pattern by which a placed tracker reveals itself.

INDICATOR · 01

Movements appearing to be known without disclosure.

A former associate, intimate partner, or other party consistently aware of locations that were never shared. The most common entry point to this engagement.

INDICATOR · 02

Unfamiliar hardware near diagnostic ports.

A small device installed under the dash, typically within reach of the driver's footwell. Live-data trackers operate by drawing power and data from the vehicle's OBD-II bus.

INDICATOR · 03

Magnetically attached devices on accessible exterior surfaces.

Battery-powered GPS units attach magnetically under bumpers, inside wheel wells, or beneath the chassis. Installation can occur in seconds in any parking environment.

INDICATOR · 04

Battery drain inconsistent with vehicle use.

Active trackers and listening devices draw current. A vehicle requiring a jump after a brief idle period can be a signal — or simply a depleted battery. The assessment establishes which.

INDICATOR · 05

Unfamiliar wireless signatures tied to the vehicle.

Some trackers broadcast for configuration or for relay through a paired phone. We assess for unrecognized radio signatures associated with the vehicle's footprint.

INDICATOR · 06

A device has been found — and a second is presumed.

When one device has already been located, a second is reasonably anticipated. Placement of redundant units in different locations is a documented counter-measure against discovery.

// PROCESS

Three steps.

STEP · 01

Consult.

Confidential phone consultation. We listen to the circumstances prompting the concern, work through a short set of qualifying questions, and confirm the engagement is a fit. No commitment.

STEP · 02

Meet.

90–120 minutes on-site at your location, or a coordinated meet where discretion is the priority. Full assessment of cabin, exterior, undercarriage, and OBD-II port.

STEP · 03

Resolve.

Any device located is removed and handed back. You receive a written summary prepared for use by counsel or workplace HR where appropriate.

// FAQ

Common questions.

What if no device is located?

A written summary is still produced, documenting what was assessed and what was not found. For most clients, that clarity in writing is the substantive point of the engagement. The fee covers on-site time and is not contingent on locating a device.

Will the party who placed the device know an assessment occurred?

Some active trackers report movement, sudden signal loss, or proximity to RF assessment equipment. We discuss the trade-offs on the consultation, and the client decides whether to remove a device immediately, document it in place, or pause to consult counsel first.

Can the vehicle be brought to the firm?

Yes. We work on-site at the client's home or office, or at a coordinated meet location where discretion is the priority. Either works at the same fee.

Are fleets and executive transport supported?

Yes — multi-vehicle and executive engagements are scoped separately. The base fee covers a single vehicle; additional vehicles or recurring coverage are quoted under a Corporate TSCM Engagements engagement.

Are findings admissible?

Our written summary and chain-of-custody documentation on any recovered device is suitable for use by counsel. We are not a law firm and do not offer legal advice, but our deliverables are prepared with that downstream use in mind.
